Wadi Besor

The HaBesor Stream begins at Mount Boker near Sde Boker and empties into the Mediterranean Sea in Gaza. The reserve and bicycle trail preserves ancient farm ruins, historical sites from the British mandate period, and a surprising variety of wildlife, including Eurasian grey wolves, Canis lupus lupus. On this blustery, windy, rainy day in late November, tulips were sprouting and other early wildflowers were already blooming.
